What this template is for
Gable-top carton. The roof folds into a peak that can be stapled, taped or tied — a favourite for party favours and seed packets.
- Party favours and sweet boxes
- Seed and bulb packets
- Wedding and shower favours
- Small gift packaging
How to build it
- Type the size you need above, in millimetres, centimetres or inches.
- Download the PDF and print it at 100% — never “fit to page”.
- Cut every solid line and score every dashed line.
- Glue the side seam first. Crease the roof diagonals firmly, push the two side panels inwards and press the top band flat.
Questions about the milk carton
- How does the gable top close?
- Crease the roof diagonals firmly, push the two side panels inwards and press the top band flat. Staple it, tape it, or punch two holes and thread ribbon through.
- Is it waterproof?
- No. A paper template is not food-safe for liquids. Use it for dry goods, sweets and gifts.
- Why is the top seal height adjustable?
- A taller seal gives you more to grip, staple or punch through. A shorter one uses less material and looks neater on a small carton.
